On WorkForce Payroll, you can process both the Sickness and Injury Benefit deductions.
For both benefits to appear in either of the benefits section, the employee would need to have Sick or Injury Leave approved from the WorkForce Leave Module.
Note: Even though the Leave Module is available for free with the Payroll Module, if you are not making use of the Leave Management System, both Sickness and Injury Benefit deductions would need to be inserted as manual adjustments.
The steps below highlight the process of how to deduct the Sickness Benefit. The same process applies to the Injury Benefit deduction.
Step 1: After processing your payroll, select the employee, and click on the Deduct Sickness Benefit (5). (The number indicates the number of sick days within the pay run). In case you would like to deduct the Injury Benefit, please click on Deduct Injury Benefit.
Step 2: Choose the date for which you would like to deduct the Sickness Benefit by clicking on the checkbox next to the date (Sickness Benefit should be deducted after the third consecutive sick day).
Step 3: Click on Save
Step 4: The employee will be marked as required reprocessing. To reprocess the employee, just click on ‘click here’.
