After reading this article, you will know the difference between the Master and Slave punch clocks, should your company have more than one punch clock.
Note: These instructions cover Time & Attendance devices purchased from DataByte between 2017 and present, containing Face recognition, Fingerprint, and RFID scanners (Silk Bio 101TC).
Timekeeper allows Administrators to set one of the punch clocks in their setup as a Master punch clock which is used to enroll all employees. The benefit of this is that any other punch clock set as Slave, will receive the same employee data (including Face, Fingerprint, and RFID templates), and this will enable all employees that have been enrolled onto the Master punch clock to be able to punch-in from all of the punch clocks set as Slave.
There is also the option to be able to have other punch clocks run independently without including data the employee data that is saved on the Master punch clock.
