If you include the break hours in the employee's working schedule, the break will be deducted automatically from the employee's attendance. However, for employees that do not take fixed breaks or are set to work flexible hours in their working schedule, you can add custom breaks during the approval process.
Note: To add breaks, the Administrator can set these employees to have their break approved. This setting is available in the Manage Employees section and can be found in the Working Schedule tab. Simply tick the box next to Approve Break Hours and save the employee's profile. For more information on the employee's working schedule, please click here.
Step 1: Launch the WorkForce Timekeeper module, click on Approvals from the left-hand side menu, and then on By Employee.
Step 2: Choose the date from, date to, and the employee and click on Refresh.
Step 3: Enter the break hours under the 'App Break' column. Upon pressing the Enter/Tab keys from your keyboard, the break will be deducted from the employee's attendance.
