This article will explain in detail the steps required to add Departments, Sub-Departments, and Teams. This allows employees registered in WorkForce to be more organized and structured, whilst facilitating the filtering of your reports.
Departments setup in WorkForce reflects departments, sub-departments, and teams within the company. Each department can be split into different sub-departments, with sub-departments made up of multiple teams.

How do I create a new Department and Team and set Team Supervisor/s?
Step 1: Launch the WorkForce People module
Step 2: Click on Manage Departments, then on List View from the left-hand side menu
Step 3: Click on Add new Department
Step 4: Add the department details (Type, Code, and Name) accordingly and click on Add.
Step 5: After creating Departments, you can now add a sub-Department, Team, or multiple Teams in that specific Department. To do so, click on the Explore button next to the department to open the department.
Step 6: Click on the Add new Department/Team
Step 7: Enter the Sub-Department/Team details (Type, Code, Name). As a ‘Type’ you can now select either Department (which in this case will be a sub-Department) or Team, which will represent a Team within the Department. In addition, you can select the Team Supervisor.
Note: Team supervisors can receive pending leave requests from employees within their teams. In addition, Team Supervisors can book leave for their employees, and approve their team's attendance and overtime
Note: An alternative method of adding a new Department and Team is when creating a new employee. When creating an employee, click on +Add New Department/Team
How do I edit existing Departments, Teams, and Team Supervisor/s?
Step 1: Launch the WorkForce People module
Step 2: Click on Manage Departments, then on List View from the left-hand side menu
Step 3: Click on the Edit button next to the department to edit the Department details. Should you like to edit the Team details within the department, first click on Explore and then the Edit button next to the Team.
The Organisation Chart
WorkForce People contains an organizational chart that allows for Departments, Sub-Departments, and Teams to be viewed and easily edited and moved (by clicking on the boxes shown on the right-hand side below) or moved by dragging and placing items accordingly.
To access your Organisation Chart:
Step 1: Launch the WorkForce People module
Step 2: Click on Manage Departments, then on Organisation Chart from the left-hand side menu
